US Origin Story

I came to the US in April of 2002 when I was adopted by my parents. That is kind of the whole of my "coming to America" story, but my mom has a more interesting tale. My mom's side of the family originates from Bermuda, and they moved to America in the 1980s. They immigrated to the US because many of their family had already moved here. They went through the whole immigration process at Ellis Island and then moved to Shelbyville, Tennessee. To make a good living, my grandparents started a chicken farm and raised horses. That is the basis of the my mom's side of the family's immigration to America.
