Sleeping Beauty

Patterson had an interesting take on how the story of Sleeping Beauty. He had delved into the story more than I have ever done. I had no idea that the folktale had underlying tones of misogyny and sexism. Patterson believed that Sleeping Beauty was young and naive, and due to her parents, she was unaware and too curious of the world around her. I personally do not believe that the story has any elements of sexism and the belief of women as "innocent."
