Generations
"Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it." This quote by George Orwell explains the complexity that is generational gaps. Each older generation believes it knows what is best for the younger, while the younger believe that they know what is best for them. For example, My parents generation is always things like: "kids these days..." and "back in my day..." These little phrases give insight to what the older generation believes about us. It is a continuous cycle because I am positive my grandparents said the same things to my parents. My parents are coming from "experience", while I am coming from "It's not like that anymore" or even "that's the way it is now". What this has done is create a disparity between the generations because each believes they know what is best.
You just wait! I never I thought I'd be saying those words, but I have found myself saying them a lot recently. You are right. You will, too!...... one day...
